Aftermandelbrot (1989-1993)

The “Aftermandelbrot” cycle (1989-1992), originates from a visual and aesthetic response to an investigation on the Fractals theories of the mathematician Benoît Mandelbrot. The computer graphics led to a digital excursion in the pictorial field and chromatic proliferation guided by numerical functions, corresponding to all of the large number of colours. The series established an important step in Nuvolo’s production, mediated by his son Paolo, computer technician, made computer applications a new key to expand the silkscreen potential and the artist’s painting, sometimes playful and sometimes alienating.
