Alongside the Frenchman Chapo&#8217;s wooden furniture are exhibited the tifernate&#8217;s cycles from the late 1950s and early 1960s: Cuciti a macchina, Daini, Diagrammi, Tensioni; characterized mainly by the colors beige and shades of brown.<br \/>\nS\u00e9lavy is a gallery founded in 2020, at the height of the pandemic, by Christina and Emmanuel Di Donna, former owners of Di Donna Galleries on Madison Av. in Manhattan, which, in 2017-2018, hosted the group show &#8220;Nuvolo and Post-War Materiality 1950-1965&#8221; curated by Germano Celant.<br \/>\nThe new project consists of a series of exhibition salons, now also based in Aspen (Colorado) and Palm Beach in Miami (Florida) in addition to the aforementioned Southampton (New York), and feature elegant and curated environments that combine art and design, spanning different areas, styles, periods and cultures. While Di Donna Galleries, in downtown New York City, is known for its biennial exhibitions of surrealist and modern art, S\u00e8lavy embraces an eclectic mix of objects and artworks revealing unexpected juxtapositions aimed at creating inspiring interiors.<br \/>\nThis is the second occasion in 2022 that Nuvolo has been on display in the United States; last March a work &#8211; <em>Untitled<\/em> (Daino), 1960 &#8211; was a guest in an exhibition organized by Di Donna, in collaboration with Sotheby&#8217;s, at the Palm Beach location in Miami.<br \/>\nIn Italy until last March 27, the exhibition &#8220;Melani | Nuvolo tra arte e scienza&#8221; curated by Prof. Bruno Cor\u00e0 &#8211; President of Fondazione Palazzo Albizzini Collezione Burri &#8211; was open at CaMusAc in Cassino and at the Museo dell&#8217;Abbazia di Montecassino, an exhibition that, given the large number of visitors, the curator and director Brunella Longo decided to extend by a month (the deadline was in fact scheduled for February 27). On display is a selection of Master Nuvolo&#8217;s works from the 1960s to the 1990s, some of which &#8211; such as <em>Trionfo della morte<\/em> (1&#215;10 m) e <em>Alfa 39<\/em> (100&#215;185 cm, 100&#215;201 cm, 100&#215;153 cm) &#8211; given their large size, had rarely been exhibited before.<br \/>\nThe collaboration between the CaMusAc and Associazione Archivio Nuvolo is sealed with the donation of a work: <em>Untitled [Genesi N. 75]<\/em>, 1990 by the Ascani heirs to the Longo family, owner of the museum, which, in addition to works by emerging artists, had already collected works by Bagnoli, Bassiri, Boetti, Cagli, Castellani, Kounellis, LeWitt, Merz, Mattiacci, Nagasawa, Paolini, Parmiggiani, Penone, Pepper, Pistoletto, Savelli, and Spalletti.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery interval=&#8221;3&#8243; images=&#8221;11360,11358,11356,11354&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In June and throughout the summer, Nuvolo&#8217;s works are featured alongside Pierre Chapo&#8217;s design at Sal\u00f2n S\u00e9lavy in Southampton, a vacation spot not far from Manhattan in upstate New York.
