In Open Care, Frigoriferi Milanesi, the auction “Modern and Contemporary Art” by WANNENES, presented 296 works created by artists such as: Burri, De Chirico, Boetti, Bonalumi and many others, among which were also selected two works by the Maestro Giorgio Ascani NUVOLO: sewed and painted hemp pieces (90×70 cm 1960), and machine-stitched chamois leather (50×35 cm 1959) from two important Italian private collections. Presented with an estimate between 20.000 – 30.000 Euro (Daino) and 50.000 – 70.000 Euro (Cucito). The works were beaten, after a heated contest, respectively: 32,000 (39,680), and 85,000 (105,400) setting the new record for the artist in an auction, and resulting in the highest award work in absolute among those presented to the public.
