TURBOLENZE (1998-1999)
Turbolenze is one of the few pictorial cycles created without the contribution of silkscreen technique; although the gesture remains. In silkscreen printing, in fact, the inks are filtered from the silkscreen canvas to the work through the use of what in technical jargon is called a racla, a special type of spatula. In the case of Turbolenze, the colour is applied directly onto the paper support and spread with a spatula.
