The “Frattali” are limited edition silkscreen works (from 1/200 to 200/200), produced in the late 1980s by “Multiplo serigrafico s.n.c.” of Città di Castello, in collaboration with the painter Nuvolo (Giorgio Ascani).

These particular images were made with the help of the pc through specially developed graphic software based on the “Theory of Fractals,” with evolution of the set calculus of mathematical researchers such as Cantor, Julia and Mandelbrot.

These studies later enabled Nuvolo’s realization of the pictorial cycle “Aftermandelbrot” (1989-1993).
