SEROTIPIE (1951-2006)

The works belonging to this cycle are serigraphic paintings that are presented through a varied and diversified production, both formally and stylistically. The term “serotipia” was coined by the poet and man of letters Emilio Villa to identify the “serigraphic types” produced by Nuvolo.

 

“Serotipia is to be understood as painting by the means of silkscreen, or silkscreen,
but conducted within the limits of the unique and unrepeatable specimen.”
