Tensioni (1962-1965)

TENSIONI (1961-1965)

The strips of leather and canvas, no longer structurally on the same plane as the support, are spaced out and overlapped by the framework stretched from cue to cue on the wooden frame, like nerves and strings in tension. The buckskin strips, which unlike canvas strips have less grip, flex on themselves in their middle parts, revealing the internal forces of the material.
